In Summer 2019, I travelled to Beijing in China to take up an internship with LEWIS Communications (Beijing) Limited, and I have gained great knowledge and experience of the PR industry and how media works. The team I worked with is responsible for strengthening brand reputation, planning corporate advertising and strategy, and evaluation of corporate image. It was amazing to be immersed in a group of experts in the field of Public Relations and Integrated Marketing strategies. I received invaluable advice and support, this one-month internship has been such an excellent experience. I am very grateful of the Go Abroad fund for making it possible to work and develop marketing skills in a new environment and to travel around as well with my friends. Here are some snapshots of my unforgettable summer experience.
Me and my lovely colleagues at the company in Beijing, and some places I visited including the Forbidden Palace and Tiananmen Square.
Amazing trip to Japan with my amazing friends! We visited Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo in one week. I had plenty of opportunities to practise my Japanese learnt from uni, which was getting a bit rusty two months after my exam:/ My highlight of the trip was going to the Hanabi Festival in Osaka in rented yukatas, the fireworks above the river were stunning.
