The Principals Go Abroad Fund allowed me to travel to Los Angeles along with the University of Edinburgh Hyperloop team, HYPED, to attend the 2018 Hyperloop competition hosted by SpaceX. Throughout the week leading up to the competition weekend, work was done on finishing all of the sub-systems and assembling it all together. Once the competition weekend came around, we were unfortunately not ready to compete in the tube but got to see the accomplishments of all other teams that had the privilege to attend. Throughout this experience, I learnt the great importance of teamwork, as without it we would not have come as far as we did.
