The go abroad fund helped me to go to Kenya to work teaching computer skills and English literature to students at a girls training college. It was a little nerve-wracking to go by myself, but I have a wonderful time at the school getting to know the students and immersing myself in the day to day life. At the end of the trip I spent some time working on a solar desalination project run by the University of Edinburgh and Strathmore University in Nairobi in Lodwar.
