There’s a sentence I never thought I’d say! It was unbelievable, incredible and beautiful. I was only there for one and a half days unfortunately, but we managed to see everything we wanted to in those days. We saw the Great Wall, Summer Palace, Forbidden City, Tienanmen Square and so so much more. It felt great to see even more of China and to experience the Capital.
It was a great way to spend my last weekend in China.
Speaking of lasts… this will also be my last week in the programme. And (of course) I’m very reluctant to go, but I guess Edinburgh is calling for me. I am definitely going to miss all the people and all the classes here so much. My professors have been really helpful and have taught me so much, but I know I’ve also learnt a lot from all the international people I’ve met here.
Though I guess it will be nice to get back into the summer holiday mood and be done with the essays, exams and presentations I’ve been having over this past month!
The idea of going back home is very bitter sweet as I have settled in so well here and really feel at home. But I know there are so many exciting things waiting for me at home too, which I can’t wait for either!
See you soon Edinburgh!
Beijing sounds just as captivating as you describe it, worlds heritage, history and culture condensed into one city. It must have been a worthwhile sightseeing destination! Is that really the Great Wall behind you, perfect postcard picture shot.
Four weeks has gone by very very fast but then again time flies when you have fun. Study abroad always instills a greater perspective, I’m sure you’ve done a lot of reflecting and I know uk can’t wait to have you back.
Great result but I shall see you soon and look forward to all the stories!! Xxx
