Second semester has been well underway for some time. Having conferred with the inner elders,* I believe I should reflect on some of my more potent cultural experiences; namely, the new forms of my fraternization with Greek life.**

January introduced a fresh phenomenon to the Commonwealth Pack. Spring term means Greek recruitment and recruitment means that the boys up their game. Fraternities must go all out for two weeks to woo in freshman punters.

This translates well into our lives: female presence is required at most wooing events. Some extravagances do not deign to involve us: we were not taken to that box at the Jay-Z concert and unfortunately we missed the year that one fraternity sojourned briefly in Puerto Rico. Nevertheless, we did benefit decently.
